That's a good one. I think we need to get away from calling them assault rifles altogether. I own "low-powered semi-automatic rifles" myself :) Compared to full-bore hunting rifles, they are low powered.

    Ya think?
If they think they can get away with it, they will.

I have a degree in history from MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN and the impression is that the Bill of Rights was the reason that the states ratified the constitution. In my humble opinion if any of the rights are voided then the constitution is void.

    AMEN! Very well said.

I hope this doesn't sound too kooky but, among the reasons I bought a WASR-10, besides the simplicity of the gun, the design being so rugged and the price was the fact that most of our enemies use it as their battle rifle. In the, hopefully, unlikely event we are ever invaded (watch Red Dawn and substitute Communist China for the USSR or Middle East Terrorist types for the USSR, or maybe don't substitute anyone for the USSR since it appears they may be on a return track) there may be ammo and magazines a plenty for these weapons on every dead invader I may run across.

I still want an AR but it pays to think a head.....
