I bought a used CZ P-01 last week (great gun by the way!) When I had filled out the paperwork at my local gunstore, the clerk handed me my copy of the completed PA paperwork and said "this is your registration. Keep it in a safe place."
What gives? Does PA have gun registration?
Dirkster - whether folks realize it or not - registration is in some form with us - just not necessarily ''formalized''!
After you filled the 4473 - which is in itself adequate ''registration'' if kept and data archived - you did the SP4-113 - the white sheet. This is only used for handguns. A copy goes to local Sheriff's office and you keep a copy. It is a unique record of that particular transaction.
Hopefully the Sheriff just files his sheet away but who knows - enter that into some database and hey presto - might as well call it registration!
