At least Mel Martinez did something right. And as usual Bill Nelson is MIA, probably collecting his rent money from the cow pastures in Miami Lakes.

Not surprised at all to see that Lieberman and Dodd are conspicuously absent from that list.

Tennessee Senator Corker signed the letter but Senator Lamar Alexander did not. I called his office to find out why and his staff person told me Senator Alexander thought things were going pretty well "as is" and would not be requesting any change unless the Dept. of Interior felt a change was needed.
I lost a lot of respect for Sen. Alexander over this and intend to remember this when he runs again.

Louisiana's Rep. Senator signed but the Dem. probably ran when they asked her. You'd think she would consider it since the majority of people that voted for her last time probably don't live here anymore.

    HEY!!!
This could be a VERY BAD THING!!!

National CCW could be easily turned around to outlaw all CCW's. It removes the power from the state and makes it a federal matter. Therefore raises the possibility of becoming a MAJOR PROBLEM...

    anyone else feel this?

Read the original post again. This has nothing to do with National CCW. It is simply asking the National Park Service to rescind their policy prohibiting concealed carry in National Parks.
