Any chance we can ban politicians of unusual stupidity?

Most of these 'skilled' politicians are able to talk out of BOTH sides of their mouths at the same time...

    "More lethal?"

Instead of the elephant symbol, perhaps he should use a horse, but just the back half.

The choices in this election make voting relatively easy.

I still like Fred...His stance on the 2A is virtually the same as everyone's here.
I like Fred too and I also am starting to like Huckabee.

If they can't give me anyone to vote for other than a New York (Guliani) or Mass. (Romney)anti, then I thnk I'll stay home and bury some guns and ammo in the ground, rather than going to the polls on election day.

Just remember that this attitude will virtually guarantee Hillary will be elected and spread socialism, higher taxes, wealth redistribution, amnesty for illegals and nationalizing health care. And, don't forget that any of the liberals will be far worse on gun control han Romeny or Giuliani.

Quoting an anti-American, US hating, lying propagandist? The fact is that we are not voting for the lesser of two evils. We are voting for the next President of the United States and all that entails. Make certain you understand the implications of your vote (or lack thereof) and vote wisely.

You'll get no argument from me on that account. The real question to ponder though is this: If a Democrat is elected as President, even a "pro-gun" Dem like Richardson, this means that the Dems are likely to continue to control Congress. Since Congress is the only branch which can propose legislation to restrict our gun rights, and a Dem-controlled Congress is likely to send some kind of "gun control" bill to the President, I'd be willing to bet that it is also likely that any Dem President would sign pretty much anything sent to him (or her!) by a Dem Congress. What you need to consider is how much more evil can be done by a Democrat-controlled Congress with an anti-gun President, than by a Republican-controlled Congress regardless of the opinions of the person sitting in the Oval Office.

On the other hand, if a Republican is elected, it is historically likely that the Repubs will re-take at least one branch of Congress, if not both. If this happens, it is highly unlikely that a President Romney or Guliani would ever get the chance to sign another AWB or anything similar because such a bill would never pass Congress.

I'm not saying that an individual candidate's ideas, beliefs, and past history don't matter. Rather that, in the area of 2nd Amendment rights, which party controls Congress is more important than the beliefs of the individual who is President.

Therefore, I stick with my earlier comment that, while I am painfully aware that a vote for anyone other than Ron Paul (my opinion only) will be a vote for the lesser of two evils, I will still make that vote, and do so happily. I'm not hoping to sway anyone's opinion about their preferred candidate, only to convince everyone to get out and vote! It really is important, even if the person you vote for is the less-worse of two SOBs...

    2 notes here:

    1. Mods, I hope this post isn't deemed to have run afoul of any forum rules. I am simply explaining the logic I use in making broad decisions regarding various issues, including (and especially) 2nd Amendment issues.
    2. My "more evil" comment refers, for the purposes of this forum, only to "gun control" & 2nd Amendment issues. I am not a member of any party, and do not wish to offend anyone who is, no matter which side they support...

That isn't the only place on their bodies that politicians talk out of.
A person is justified in the use of deadly force, if such person reasonably believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.
