If the 2A meant something ........
Then just perhaps, while I fully endorse state's rights to individuality and law making etc .. we might not see the ludicrous disparity between many of them re guns and carry etc.
We have Cook County IL and IL itself too, MD, NYC (and ''dear'' Bloomberg), MA, some of CA, WI, DC (of course but it hardly counts as a state does it!) ....... the list is quite long.
I keep wanting to throw up when I consider the oaths taken by elected officials - to uphold the contitution of the United States .. and let's not leave out the BOR!! It's like they ignore the basics.
All the time it's this assault on ''guns'' - aimed of course at bad guys but - forgetting all the while the good guys and the constitution - ever trying it seems to want to deprive good folks of a means of self defence.
"Hey - time to introduce a new anti gun law - what doors can we close this time"? The control by stealth and steady drip, drip, drip is depressing as we all know. I do NOT want a Fed driven CCW ruling - it could IMO do more harm than good but - when it comes to the Constitution and BOR then surely to heck, we should all be on the same page with our gun options!
I am almost daily appalled at the inconsistencies, against lawful gun ownership.
Sorry - rambling rant mode, late evening.

Wait, I thought Congress was looking at legislation to start taxing breathing. Of course, it only applies to law abiding citizens.

Mainstream media, sports, hollywood, popualr culture, other countries (UN) and higher education all look down on and scoff at the patriots who support modern day liberty and freedom. It's becoming ever more and more socially mandated to be anti-gun. The culture of the country is becoming more and more totalitarianism. And im afraid that this trend will continue until we have voted to lose all our gun rights. The country continually puts the noose around its own neck and hangs another liberty that is now considered inconvenient and outdated by the masses. The tyranny of the majority is when our land of the free and home of the brave becomes the land of the conformist and home of the weakling. The majority will rule unrighteously and the minority will be subject to them. It's to bad there isn't another new world we could retreat to and start over.
