    Ralph Nader running for President.

I don't know allot about him, I have only got involved with politics in the last couple of years, I have been to his web site. Ralph Nader for President in 2008 but they don't talk about the 2nd amendment or gun rights, What does this mean for gun owners?

What are your thoughts? Is he a good thing for gun owners?
Do you think he will make a big difference on who becomes president?
Lets talk about it, school me on Ralph Nader.

Yes, he's good for us because he's likely to pick up 2-3% of those who would otherwise vote for B. Hussein Obama and thereby make it less likely that we will have an anti-2A president.

Huckabee welcomed him into the race for the above reason.

That is a good thing IMO. Didn't Nader do the same in the last election?

Yep...or rather agreed he's more of a danger toward vote sucks from Obama than of any concern to McCain.

Only thing is it won't matter.
The differential between Obama and McCain is not and will not be as close as it was with Gore vs. Bush nor Kerry vs. Bush.
McCain doesn't have a chance whether or not Nader runs and sucks up the retro-hippy, make their own fuel in the basement out of recycled fry grease, PETA member, patchouli oil perfume, dirty feet all season flip-flop wearing crowd.
There just aren't enough of those minded people to swing enough votes from Obama to overcome the political deficit that McCain has.

Meanwhile Hillary's people are jumping ship to Obama with many that I know of IRL being split 49/51 Obama even as they say they are pro-Hillary. Why?
Because the difference between those two is minimal in so far as position and statements.

Well this is interesting. Then there is Bloomberg, and a third party Conservative will surely pop-up as an alternative to Juan McCain.

We have us a horse race.

I could not disagree more. As distasteful as McCain is, there is virtually no way he will lose the the poor selections the democrats have put forward this year. Before the campaign even begins, more than half the country have said they would not vote for Hillary under any circumstances. The electorate soundly rejected her health care debacle in the early '90s. The American public may be more stupid than hen but not enogh to enact a system that as failed in every place it has ever been attempted.

Obama is more a socialist than when someone from the Socialist party actually ran for president. Despite the media cheerleading, Obama is worse than an empty suit. His negatives are too overwhelming for him to compete on the national level.

Unfortunately for democrats, the presidential election is not about domestic policies, it is about foreign policy. Our successes in Afghanistan and Iraq will be played against the surrender and retreat mantra of the liberals. With Castro gone, Cuba will be in the forefront. His brother makes Raul seem like a benevolent leader, as liberals always portray him rather than the brutal, oppressive evil dictator that has ruined the people of Cuba for fifty years. If the US did make a deal in the early '60s to leave Castro alone, that time is over. Cuba will become a free society and their political prisoners will be free.

And still, two countries of the axis of evil remain a grave threat to the United States as well as the continuing terrorist threat. Obama has no policy and no idea how to engage the enemy.

Will Nader sway the election? Probably not. Despite the media fawning, reality will set in for B. Hussein Obama. The American people are always touted as not being smart but we are not that stupid either.

    Agreed LMO.

If Bloomberg makes good on his posturing and enters as an Independent as well then things could become very interesting, and tough for Obama.
