The key is to keep the decision out of the President's hands. For example, not one of the potential Presidents would veto a renewal of the assault weapons ban. So, don't give 'em a chance to sign it. Keep after your senators, representatives and state legislators. Don't let them think for a minute that there's majority support for new gun laws.
If you have the chance, go to your party's convention, at any level possible. These are real opportunities to influence policy, from the grass roots.

Your right regarding SCOTUS and the Constitution. There may be two retiring from the Court in the next 4 years and you trust Obama to select, not me.

I know on this forum we want a leader in office that will support our gun rights.Just remember this,my forum buddies,they are ALL POLITICIANS!Some we like better than others.Every 4 years,we are promised this and that.Do you really believe politicians are in the game just to serve their country?Or the general public?
