    Guns and Homeowners Insurance

I was wondering if anyone has had their homeowners insurance raised or denied because of having guns in the home. Any insurance companies to watch out for?

We went through GEICO/Travelers, it was actually quite pleasant, we had to get a separate policy for the guns though once we hit over having 10K insured on them.

My homeowner policy covers, by default, up to $2,500 in weapons. You can increase (and I did) your coverage up to $5,000. That cost me all of $7 a year. For additional coverage they sell a "personal items" policy that runs about $20 per thousand. I took out one of those also. With my base coverage, the "personal items" policy, and my free $1,000 NRA coverage I'm pretty much set.

I put the weapons on my farmowners rather than the home policy . Listed it as " pest control " and insured it for 250k more than i need but with a farmowners equipment is cheap and they bound coverage .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .
