Haven't a clue what you are referring to Catalina???? Don't know about other groups, but BFA has no issue with any group. As a matter of fact, we have a very good working relationship with all of the groups that are willing to help work on good legislation and that show up in the Statehouse.

Great news, indeed - thanks to ALL the organizations, and individuals, in Ohio who continue to work on improving our concealed carry laws and RKBA issues.

Here's a link to the analysis of the bill:

SB184 Analysis: Significant practical improvements for ALL Ohioans | Buckeye Firearms Association

Puts it in plain English so it can be understood, and also gives some examples/case laws of why much of this was needed.

I picked up my Ohio permit today and asked the lady how she felt about the new legislation that passed concerning ccw and home defense. She looked at me with a blank face and said "Wha?". No clue.

It's an improvement, but they still have a ways to go.
That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

This is good stuff, there were alot of pifalls to watch out for, and as I have lots of family in OH, I had to memorize rules for both MI and OH. Glad that progress is being made.

Quote from BF: "A CHL holder will be permitted to carry in a government owned building that is not a government facility where business is generally conducted. A CHL will be able to posses firearms in government owned parking garages, rest areas, and shelters. Carry in a BMV is prohibited. "

This had references to rest stop incidents on the BF website, but I wonder, would this apply to the rest stops along I-80? Those have stores and fast food inside, not just an enclosed crapper with a map and vending machine. And whats a BMV?

I look forward to the day that you can carry in an OH restaurant or gas station (UDF anyone?) without disarming. I don't think I have seen a gun buster sign yet in MI.
