From NRA-ILA: Dangerous Anti-Gun Bills Moving Forward in California Senate!

California folks, be warned (and everyone else, too)!

NRA-ILA :: Legislation

Lowlights:

"...AB2062 would make it a crime to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a 'handgun ammunition vendor' in the Department of Justice’s database." And yet more.

"This legislation [AB2235] would prohibit the sale of handguns other than 'owner-authorized (or 'smart') handguns'-- that is, handguns with a permanent, programmable biometric feature that renders the firearm useless unless activated by the authorized user." And yet more.

"...this dangerous bill [AB2948] would ban the sale of firearms and ammunition on the property or inside the buildings that comprise the Cow Palace."


Only a foretaste in California, I fear, of what all of us may face after January 2009 if certain events in November 2008 turn out badly.

I'm not even from there but I wrote the Governator. I called him a Girlie Man for caving to the Brady crowd. He has done a complete 180 degrees from the promises he made.

(hmph) As though a mugger has to use a gun to succeed in robbing people? He can rob a thousand people a month on 50 rounds, and bully them at gun point into a situation where he can kill every one of them with a knife.

(OK, "a thousand people a month" is 33 a day, and that's a bit too much like work to be likely.)
