Great read and could not be more true. Thanks for posting.
Those who are fighting to ban all guns have staked out the "pure" position that all guns must be banned.
We must take the opposite "pure" position or they will continue to gain ground. All guns must be allowed.

My boss is a avid hunter (rifle & shotgun), but also believes that people shouldn't carry for self-defense, or own "assault-rifles, that the NRA wants everyone to own a "machine-gun"!

The Henry Rifle was th AK of the civil war, I am sure if he could have figured out how to put 30 rounds in the Magazine he would have. I am so tire of hearing about the "full auto" assault rifles everyone is buying. I cannot afford an REAL Assault Rifle. My Semi auto is no more dangerous then my .44 MAG Marlin Lever Action that holds 10 rounds. Were I to take my AK hunting I would use a 10 round Magazine because I find the 20, 30, and 40 rounders get in the way of the brush we have here in Washington.
In other countries the poor people buy AKs to hunt with because it is the only rifle they can afford. Don't tell me it can't be a hunting rifle, if it was the only one I had I would use it for hunting. As a matter a fact that is why I bought it. I have used bolt actions, lever actions but never a semi auto. I haven't got a 10 round MAG yet but have found where I can order one. I hope to give it a try next year.
Great post, that got sent on in email.
