Virginia radio ad / Senator Jim Webb

Our illustrious Democrat Junior Senator has a radio ad.

    Synopsis:

I grew up with guns. I gave my son a gun. Obama is my friend. He will not take your guns. Vote for Obama.

Not sure how many times he had to do that without gagging.

Drugs, pure and simple. That's how he did it. Drugs. Lots of 'em. Does he have that bloodshot look, or that glassy eyed look........Drugs. Lots of drugs.

Obama won't take all your guns, just the scary looking ones and others you "shouldn't have". If he took ALL of them, what will future dem presidents have left to do?

He's a politician, so I believe him... Don't know what's wrong with the rest of you, but i seriously doubt someone would sacrifice the safety of their country's citizens, right?

    Wait.... No....Dang....

And no, he doesn't want all guns taken away, just the assault style weapons, like that evil semi-auto .25ACP the old lady down the street has in her purse. Or weapons only BGs would use, like that .22 with the integrated suppressor you like to use for plinking. Or the really dangerous weapons that are a threat to the figures in society and government, like the circa 1958 .30-06 my dad took his first deer with. Or overpowered weapons like my single shot Ithaca model 66 i keep next to my bed.
The muzzle end of a .45 pretty much says, "Go Away" in every language.

Jim Webb is Pro Gun. Unfortunately, he is also a politician.

My view is that he will be loyal to his party even if he has to ignore the truth.

Not meant as a slam on Webb as much as a slam on politicians in general.

    Yeah RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Jim Webb is a GENUINE HERO, who split with the Republicans for whatever reasons, BUT he has to be kidding with this 2nd Amendment plug for Barry O'. THIS GUY IS THE MOST LIBERAL ANTI-GUN politican in a LONG TIME(amoung such anti-gun Dems as Bill Clinton,John"when I was in Vietnam"Kerry and Ted"The Swimmer"Kennedy). Webb may believe this.....BUT LET'S NOT test THE WATERS................VOTE McCAIN/PALIN 2008!!!

If Webb is loyal to his party, there is no way he can be pro-gun.

Demo Governor's of Wyoming and Montana support Hussein too, at National Conventions and across the states.

They will be voted out of office in two weeks, we hope.

Isn't it amazing that the weasels will say anything to keep power. All trust has been lost, the government has become the enemy of the free man.

Sure he can. It's called picking your poison.

For example, John Kerry is a staunch supporter of general aviation. I have a private pilots license.

I am both pro general aviation and pro gun.

I DID NOT VOTE FOR KERRY!!!!!

That doesn't mean I am anti-general aviation, just that the Second Amendment is more important to me.

With Webb, being a Democrat is more important than his belief in the 2nd Amendment.

    Jim Webb will say anything.
Don't be too surprised if 'O' gets elected Webb gets a promotion.
    Funny how Washington works.

I hear the ads every morning on the radio. Maybe a "deal" was struck, some power for Jim Webb in Obama's administration(or pork for VA) in exchange for guns being way down on Obama's radar(meaning he doesn't bother with any legislation on it).

I'm trying hard to avoid getting into this political discussion, but as a Virginian, I can't help it...

I won't vote for Webb again, he does not represent me or my views. His endorsement of Obama is one reason. His voting record on the Fiscal Bailout Fiasco is another.

I've said my piece, I'll sit down now.

No, the "deal" that would be struck would be some power for Jim Webb in exchange for the endorsement. Don't, even for a second, believe that Obama would lower the priority on gun control. Obama is anti-gun. Obama will push anti-gun legislation through the legislature. This endorsement simply means Webb's priority on the second ammendment is much lower than his priority to get more power / influence. To me, this would indicate that Jim Webb has simply taken his current stance on guns so that he can get elected, not from any conviction on his part.
