    Help prevent a Weapons Ban

In an effort to prevent an Assault Weapons Ban, some folks are attempting to assemble, in one way or another, an effort to have their voices heard. May fizzle out or may actually turn into something. Anyway, here’s one of the links.

    AR15.COM : Wanna stop a future AWB?

As one of the posts says, imagine a 10,000,000 strong NRA!

You may need to register at AR15.COM to read the post but there is no spam or invasion of privacy what-so-ever that I have witnessed. If you don't want to use your normal email, create a new account at:

    www.gmail.com or,
    GMX - Free E-Mail - Webmail & POP3, IMAP

    Thanks,
    dvick

Lord knows I've tried to get on at AR15.com. They won't take you if you have web based e-mail address. Believe me....web based e-mail is all I have. it's a sad situation and i wish it were otherwise. Just to save some of you the headache. Must have an ISP e-mail address.

Interesting, I thought that I used my gmail account. If you have a comcast, verizon or similar, you can create up to like 5 user names. Then delete after you've registered.

Anyway, it looks like lots of other gun forums are getting involved and maybe even a new forum being created just for the cause. Keep watching!

I am out too but that doesn't mean our board cannot have representation and participate. dvickery obviously can sign in and watch and anyone else who joins them can come back here and let us in on what is going on.

I am about to go to my other forums and make sure they know about this.

I'll help spread the word that lots of folks can't register due to the email restrictions. I wish they would allow those accounts, I know that they're missing out on a lot of great people and support.

In the mean time, I'll keep this site posted on what is happening. The thread really seems to be gathering speed and support so so far things are coming together well.

    +1

I only use gmail. Disallowing free email accounts is arbitrary and unfair. I am not interested in a site with this sort of policy.

They are the target of a lot of nutball anti's. They can't just let anyone with an anonymous email register. I know it annoys people who don't want to give out their ISP email or don't want to have to try and get one, but it's the only way they can stay up and running. I've been a member there for a year and lurked for a many years prior.

What about people who don't have ISP email?

I have a site hosted through godaddy and it includes email. I seem to recall them having email for around $10/year. I wonder if AR15.com would take that?

Hmm, I suppose. It's a lot easier to just stay here, though.
