    Elevator Pitch?

I worked in outside sales a few year's back... and we were required to have a 30 second "elevator pitch" to explain to people we casually came into contact with what our company did.

I was thinking something like that could be a valuable tool in communicating with casual acquaintances about guns and gun rights...

It wouldn't be a stump speech, but a short blurb that covers the basics of the reasons gun laws are already stiff enough. I was thinking of 2 or 3 questions that would force the person to think about the difference between the good guys (lawful owners) and the bad guys.

    For instance:

Q: Do you think we need more laws to control guns owned by law abiding citizens or criminals?

A: Did you know that it's already illegal for a felon to purchase a gun legally?

Thoughts? Please add any ideas, or feel free to tell me I'm way off here...

Q: Do you think we need more laws blah blah blah....

A: Why do you think we need to control guns owned by law abiding citizens? If they are law abiding, they are already under control. If you are talking about criminals, they have already displayed their contempt for laws, by what rationale would you expect them to obey this one?

    Q. Do you think we need more gun laws?

    A. Well, we already have thousands and thousands of gun laws in this country. How many more do you think it would take to stop gun crime altogether?

    or

    A. When guns are criminal, only criminals will have guns.

    or

    A. Sure, criminals prefer unarmed victims.

Q: Do you think America should abide by the Constitution and what it actually says?

A: (who knows what anyone might say)
