    Here's an interesting one

This would be a milestone if it went thru.

    NRA-ILA today,

    Bill Targets Campus Gun Bans

    Roanoke Times

A bill being considered in the Virginia House of Delegates challenges the authority of public universities to ban guns on campus. House Bill 1572, proposed by Del. Todd Gilbert (R-Shenandoah Co.), would prohibit universities from making "rules or regulations limiting or abridging the ability of a student who possesses a valid concealed handgun permit ... from lawfully carrying a concealed handgun."

Yeah, VCU (here in Richmond) is the only university in the state with a law in State Code that says weapons are prohibited on campus. At Virginia Tech, and I think at James Madison, there has been debate about their policies banning weapons on campus, since they are public institutions.

Maybe by the time my daughter goes to college, it will be allowed in Texas. They would also need to lower the CHL age to 18.

(as I get more gray hairs at the very thought of my daughter going off to college)

Well they got it where active military can get them at 18. Thanks TSRA. That's a step in the right direction at least.
