Already wrote my congress critters on this, and got responses back: The both SAY no, however, will they vote according to the wishes of those who voted them in--- that remains to be seen.
Obama used "hope" and "change" to win the presidency.... Benjamin Franklin wrote in Poor Richard's Almanac, "He that lives upon Hope will die fasting." On change, John Adams wrote, "A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."

The 1st. salvo is being loaded up to fire. Move to your fox holes more is coming.
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

I think this bill has some good ideas but once I got to the part where it says "register" all firearms sales and another mention of the "Brady Bunch" I said NO way!!

    My senators have been emailed.
I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

That's how it is in MA, minus the reporting of every firearm you own clause.

Here all firearms 'transferred' within the state must be registered with the state. But if you move here with a firearm then no such notification is required. Also if you buy a longgun out of state and bring it into the state no registration is required either. No such allowance for handguns as everybody knows federal laws do not allow as much.
And our permit duration is 5 yrs. with a current cost of $100 due to be increased to $120 this year per the governor.

All else on that listing is same for here.

Yeah, well we in NY have been doing 90% of that for many years already.

With the exception of the fact our licenses do not require renewal every 5 years, most of that other stuff is already mandatory here.

We get printed (all 10 fingers twice)
We pay processing and licensing fees
We have to interview with an approved state investigator
We have to carry a photo CHL at all times
We have to have every pistol we own registered and listed on the back of ourlicense with serial number
We pay license amendment fees for each gun added
We must report any stolen firearm or face possible charges.
We have to take an NRA approved course or face license revocation.
We have to obtain a 24hr coupon in order to buy a pistol, and then it must immediately put onto our license before we pick it up.

So it will not shock me one bit if other states adopt similar policies.

Well somebody has been looking at how its done in the UK!!!
My Firearms licence cost's me around $150 every 5 years, local police have a dept that deals with this.... Can take upto 12 weeks to apply or re-new.
Have limits on ammo... And have to show licence when buying!!!
Welcome to the strange world of the democrat

WV does not require many of those things. This is making law abiding gun owners potential criminals - it is purely targeting a class of society because they do not like that we like firearms, use firearms, and exercise our rights.

To get a license, you also have to give advance permission to the Attorney General to have access to any of your "mental health records." Own a gun, the government has permission to poke around health records that might deal with "mental health."

What is it going to take to vote these Libs out of office? Maybe most of the goonies that want the gov't to take care of them and voted Democratic will find themselves worse off in the coming years will finally vote these people out of office. They need to move to another country and write their own constitution. They forget that 58 million people still voted for McCain and that was only "once time each".

Aside from the aforementioned atrocities, it also grants sweeping powers to the AG. There are clauses all through that bill that depend on the AG's opinion of this or that, everything is at the AG's discretion. Put Holder in there, he'll shaft us at will going about it unrestrained and unchecked. I have a feeling that the bill was designed with him in mind. I wrote both my Senators, but I doubt that will do much good, they are both Liberal Dems.
