New Bill to fix GA's laws :)

if your in GA you need to write your legislator. this bill will remove carry restriction everywhere but courthouses, prison, and jails.

it will also allow for unlicensed Open Carry and make the GA a true CCW and preempt knife laws etc.GFL holder have been arrested for carrying a knife while in possession of a firearm :( it will also remove the misdemeanor mary jane dis-qualifier click the link to read the full bill.
it will allow for church carry, campus carry the entire bill looks good, we need this thing passed.

My Rep said that she was happy to sign on as a co-sponsor.
I fully expect the bill to be butchered if it is passed in any form, but I'm staying optimistic and hoping we get something positive out of it.

Finally! Sadly, it still leaves the intensely horrible wording of:

knife designed for the purpose of offense or defense

on the books. Maybe next year.

I'm for you,the one problem will be any state you have reciprocity with that doesn't allow people with any drug conviction to have a CHL,CCW etc will remove their reciprocity more than likely like wyoming did with TX IIRC

Time to make a few calls and write a couple of letters.

Thanks for the correction, I wasn't aware of the change there. CCW and dining out isn't an issue in Fla but I know a few states up the east coast still have issues with it, I thought Ga was still one of them.
