Several of the CA (more so then say those in IL or DC) anti-CC LEO remind me of sheriff little Bill from Unforgiven.
With those from DC for example, I get a feeling it has more to do with liberal justified intellectualism.
In CA, I always feel from the statements, it is all about control, not any heady though process, just big brother.

Wow. That is retarded. What exactly is the connection to OJ? Every single criminial in the world would have been eligible for a weapons permit anywhere... prior to a felony convition.
Not so Sheriff. OJ. was convicted of domestic violence years ago and that alone would have prevented him from obtaining a California CCW.

Well, if personal protection is not sufficient reason, what is?
I can think of nothing that is more important, or valuable, that the lives of myself and my family. If a life is not important enough to protect, you will have a hard time convincing me that anything else is.

As a California Resident, our LEOs are great people but some of them are down right stupid and lack common sense. Personal protection is insufficient? What are you smoking dude? If there wasn't threats out there I would have no reason for it, but threats exist everywhere. Just because most people don't experience the threats, doesn't mean that they won't eventually.
+10 on lobbying officials and state assemblymen. I wrote to Joel Anderson, who is my assemblyman and he is with us. Get the word out because this will be a huge step forward for CA if it is passed.
