Suzanna Gratia-Hupp: What the Second Amendment is REALLY For
Amen!!!!!!!!!
her last sentence should be repeated in our heads everyday.
Yep! Repost, but I still love it!!!
This could be reposted all the time, as far as I'm concerned!!!
Never seen that before. She is AWESOME, who wants to bet she was packing while giving that speech?
I have thought she is one of the biggest Patriots in the country for a long time. I would vote for her for President in a split second.
Maybe after 4 disastrous years of Obama we can convince her to run. She could be the next Reagan.
From 2003, still, YOU GO GIRL!
I saw her on a TV show a few months back. She pretty much single handed got the felony thrown off the books in Texas so people could carry.
Her story is sad, but so much more sad because it could have been such a different ending. Her Father was a hero, he no doubt saved her life by giving his. Her Mother was a hero for standing by her dying love, know she was probably going to die. If we let these people die in vain we let America down, we let down the fabric of what all basic human rights are threaded with.
We should all have the right to protect ourselves at all times, to the extent we feel safe. I honestly do not feel safe anymore without my gun. It is sad, but it is reality. As Billy Joel said "We didn't start the fire" but we have to live in it, and the Second Amendment is there to assure that there never can be a "Hitler" in the USA. The citizens as one collective soul need to retain the right to overthrow a dangerous leader who might imprison and/or take away our rights.
And above all we deserve the right to defend ourselves against animals, both human and otherwise. Because as Ms Gratia-Hupp points out the man that did this was insane, and no different than a rabid dog. The moment you think about taking a human life for no reason, you give up your rights as a human. You have become an animal and I know that sounds harsh but that is the reality. I would not hesitate to "put down" any rabid animal that would try and hurt my family. As I'm sure most here would do the same.
This woman's story needs to be told on a bigger platform. Why is she not on Dr. Phil? Or Bill O'Reilly? Or George Snuffaluppagus? (I love that one)
Point is that I've seen it here, and on some TV show I cannot even remember. We should be eating this story for breakfast until everyone hears it 10 times.
"It's about our right ... to protect ourselves from all of you up there."
Protection against any and every criminal that would dare come to threaten my life or the lives of my loved ones ... including people who would dare legislate us out of the ability to defend against attack. Damn straight.
One of my favorite quotes.
She was instrumental in getting concealed carry legislation passed in Texas. It was long overdue.
"How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual... as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of." -Suzanna Hupp
