I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.

I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

That was actually fairly surprising. In those types of polls I usually expect to be in the minority. That was rather refreshing! Must be nice to live in a gun-friendly area.

Did it. Looks like the conceal people are in the majority for a change.

Done.....I liked two of the answers, but voted for more public places. I do think harsher penalties would help also.

When I see those kinds of results (77.7% favoring Concealed Carry, only 3.3% for tighter regulation) I wonder if it's just us overwhelming the poll. I do hope that people are coming over to our side though.

Done. I actually liked 3 of the 4 answers. Allow more carry was first choice. Nothing can be done was second, followed by harsher punishment.

NC is sort of bipolar on the whole guns rights issue. We never seem to pass something good without something equally asinine. Our towns and population are like that as well. Just 45 minutes away that poll would of had a competely different result.
Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

You must remember that Fayetteville is a Military town. We have Fort Bragg and Pope Airforce base as nieghbors.

Fort Bragg is the Home of Special Forces and the 82d Airborne.

More pro-gunners here then regular places.

Thanks to all who looked and supported the poll.

I'm not so sure. Maybe stricter enforcement of some of the 22,000+ laws already on the books, and an end to plea bargaining might be effective.

BTW, voted and was pleasantly surprised at the results.

As an aside, I attended a breakfast meeting with my State Senator and several other elected officials regarding the Ohio State Budget and it's affect on Extensions and 4-H. Our county Sheriff was there. He and I know each other, but not really well. He asked me if I were carrying. I asked him if that was an official inquiry and and if not, why would he want to know. He said (in a joking manner) that it was nice to have some watching his six just in case. I told him in the same joking manner that I could neither confirm nor deny my status, but that if something broke out, I'd be a hell of a witness. He then said that he remembered signing my renewal a few months ago, and that he hoped it was not a wasted signature. I assured him that it was not.
