The only problem with your idea is that it makes sense......automatically 43% of our legislators will be lost. lol.

For the record, I prefer there to be a clean bill. Just stating that if we had to have one of those amendments, this would be the one I prefer.
For the record, I chose long ago not to profit by force. I ask the same of others. While it may seem beneficial to the armed security industry, there should be no law requiring a private business to hire an armed guard. This act of government is just looking to government for protection by privatized proxy. A "clean" bill is the only one acceptable. And I agree with Tangle that this armed guard amendment is probably an attempt by anti-2A'ers to encumber the bill to lessen its probability of passage.

This is great news! (Well, if it passes into law that is.)

The TN Senate Calendar Comm has placed SB1127 on the Senate Regular Calendar for tomorrow. Some of the best places to eat in Memphis are in the area of town where I don't want to have to disarm and secure my weapon in my vehicle. Lets hope this passes tomorrow and the Gov signs it without a bunch of political posturing.

I'd like to see that myself. And Naifeh wants cops to go in and frisk people after 11:00pm to see if they're carrying? What is HE smoking? If it passes I hope he gets frisked every time he goes out at night!

You know whats funny about all this guns and alcohol don't mix and police frisking people? People that are there to drink, park their cars in the parking lot, with every intent of driving them home. So here we have people that we know are drinking and we know are going to get in their cars and....

Yet nobody is suggesting the police stand outside and administer breath tests to see who is too intoxicated to drive, and drivers under the influence cause more harm than probably anyone else.

Now if we can just get the bill to make it legal to have a gun in a vehicle on school property, I won't have to leave home 5 days a week without my gun .

    P.S.
I watched that portion of the Senate video that showed the discussion and vote - pretty good stuff.

Except for the senator dressed up for the horse races... These anti-gun types spew some of the most irrational arguments I've ever heard.
