Pelosi Flip-Flops on Assault Weapon Ban
This is a discussion on Pelosi Flip-Flops on Assault Weapon Ban within the The Second Amendment & Gun Legislation Discussion forums, part of the Related Topics category; so far this is only talk. NP and HR will certainly go down in history as "talkers" regardless of the outcome of the recent violence ...

so far this is only talk. NP and HR will certainly go down in history as "talkers" regardless of the outcome of the recent violence and their want to change things. guns are an american heritage and they are pretty thick in the wool, and what would NP and HR resort to in order to keep weapons out of the hands of the American people? With the way Barak Obama and the democrats are spending money and the economy sluggin down even more, they'll want to be careful here.

Just a typical politician. Say what ever is fitting at the right time. Hopefully the other clowns can remember what happened a few years back about enacting the AWB when they found themselves on the Unemployment line.

Everyone should read the Declaration of Independence again as well.
Just one excerpt.

We are in for a fight for what little freedoms we have left.
USMC rule # 23 of gunfighting: Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
I am the God fearing, gun toting, flag waving conservative you were warned about!

Yes.
We're in for the fight of our lifetime.
We're not only fighting a war in Iraq/Afghanistan, but we're fighting a war inside our own country.

Funny, I just heard a story about folks over near Russia fighting against their Government and its communist ways.
I wonder if we would fight like that?
Nah... we more evolved..... yeah right.

This makes me so angry I may go out and buy another gun or 3.
I will not live as a subject. I'm a citizen.
Bring it, witch. And you'll be educated on what America is all about. There are yet a few of us Americans who will resist tyranny.
I took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Perhaps the day will come where I will again be provided the opportunity to either put up or shut up.
I was born a free citizen. It is my express desire and purpose to live, and die, a free citizen. I will not be enslaved by the likes of pelosi, reid, hussein, or their supporters.
I don't know whether we can hold out against this onslaught for another 2, 4, or more years. But I've made my decision: I will not be enslaved.
A lot of things in life are overrated. Freedom isn't one of them.

Will we ever again have leaders worthy of our people?
I took the oath, too, just in time for Tet 1968, and consider myself still bound by it.

She Also Called For "Firearm Registration" in her "Compromise"!
This is the text of an email I sent an informal group that I update on Second Amendment issues concerning Pelosi's call for firearm registration:
"You can find contact information here:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi | Contact Us
I tried to call her number to leave a message but a recording advised that her mailbox is full. I rather suspect that it is as her phone number has been listed on the Internet on several Pro-Freedom sites in conjunction with her call for “gun registration.”
I will again tomorrow.
I encourage all of us to do so and to get like-minded people to do the same.
Though listed on the page via the link above, here is her phone number: (202) 225-0100
Be courteous but to the point and be firm. Let her know that we will make our displeasure felt at the voting booth for sure to those of her party who supported gun control and that it would probably wind up hurting “conservative” democrats, too.
I sent an email via her page.
“Speaker Pelosi,
I am completely and absolutely opposed to any and all so-called attempts at more “gun control”. This includes your call for gun registration. Registration is nothing more than the precursor to confiscation…or the attempt at it, and we both know that’s your ultimate aim.
Rest assured that any further attempts at gutting the Second Amendment by you or members of your party will result in my working against you to the maximum and doing all that I legally can to see you and other supporters of gun control/registration defeated. I believe that thousands upon thousands of other Americans will be doing the same thing.
Stephen A. Camp”
I hope that each of you will do your part in this fight. If we don’t, regardless of Heller and regardless of the Constitution, the anti-freedom gun-grabbers will find some damned way to finish off the Second Amendment.
Again, despite your disgust with these politicians, be polite. Don’t let your temper make you lose control or say something you might regret. Trust me, I have to work at it, too, but it can be done.
In short, it’s going to take us all to prevail.
Stephen A. Camp
PS: I was asked by one member of the group why I usually sign off on the emails with a slightly larger font and in bold. The answer has nothing to do with ego; I WANT them to know my name and that I stand against them tooth and nail.
Let's not lay down without a fight. Let's not lay down ever.
Best.

You were quite clear Zebra. We knew you weren't defending her.
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!
