The Enemy of 2A on Today Show
If you didn't see Janet Napolitano (in my view the biggest threat we as conservatives face today) on the Today show this morning here is a link to the interview Hulu - NBC TODAY Show: Napolitano: Fighting Drug Cartels is ?Urgent?
Her report and her view on Americans as terrorists is offensive in the least.
Here is a link to the report if you have not seen it yet - http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf
Have fun watching and reading and keep a trash can close to vomit in.

I love how Lauer ran with Calderon's words verbatim regarding weapons going south and their origin. Thats probably one of fthe worst exampes of unprofessional journalism ever, let along bogus info on the subject matter.
Anyway, the whole thing was really disgusting to watch.
EDIT: and now im hearing several outlets, including FoxNews, repeat the idea that 90% of weapons recovered by Mexico are from the US, and most of those are "Assault weapons"

I don't disagree that there are American Terrorists. What I do find offensive is that returning veterans are considered dangerous. This reeks of the government putting groups of people on watch lists if you don't think the same way as they do. What is next the Catholic Church is on a Terrorist Watch list because they don't support abortion rights. The Department of Homeland Security would like to take our 2A rights away from us to prevent us from ever having the ability to rise up against tyranny in our own country because we have different views from that of the government. Sound familiar to anything in history?

What I find incredible is that by her own admission she did not read the document, only got a briefing. It was 9 pages! It seems political officials have forgotten how to read either that or she is full of BS, Maybe both. God deliver us from another Janet Reno type.

There are gangs within the military...do you consider them "dangerous". The military is a melting pot that crosses all group types...and as such, the potential exists (whether you like it or not). Regardless...since you are such a good study of history...what are the backgrounds of most far right wing, anti govt groups. Lastly, wonder what the background of OKC bombers....hummmm...let me think of that one for a moment.
You comment on the ability to rise up against tyranny is in the tin foil category.

I am still interested about the serial numbers of these weapons that were supposedly from the US; None of those have been turned over for independent verification yet, so I am wondering when that is going to happen if ever.......

I like to know where they are getting their data about U.S. guns coming across the border... in the video you can see foreign made weapons (AK, etc), where did they come from? I don't believe the 90 % come from the U.S. I think Mexico is trying to disarm us...
Ahhh, what an awful dream. Ones and zeros everywhere... and I thought I saw a two.

I find it interesting that we are getting a lot of blame from foreign countries lately for problems that are their own doing. We are catching it from Spain, Mexico, Somalia, etc. Stop whining and take responsibility for your own bad choices and stop blaming someone else unless it is a legitimate claim. Mexico blames us for the drugs that cross our borders and the guns that cross theirs. How about blaming your own corrupt people for the production, violence and distribution tied to this illegal product. Somalian pirates threaten violence against American ships because three of them paid the price for their violent behavior at the hands of our brave and under appreciated military(Navy Seals I salute you.) Don't want to die? Stop being pirates and go into the tourism/cruise ship business( might as well put your boats to honest use). I don't know what Spain's complaint is. Missed it due to Doctors appointment. So I won't comment on that. Enough is Enough, for the rest of the world stop America bashing. Thank you.

The numbers that I heard on both Fox News and Lou Dobbs of CCN are the same. Mexico hands over 17% to the ATF for verification. Of that 17%, 90% of those guns are traced back to the USA. That would be about 14.5% of the seized weapons are coming from the USA. It is just a matter of wording!

Anybody want to bet where the other 83% are coming from? I suspect the drug traffickers are obtaining them from the Mexican military.
Does anyone have an idea of how many guns 14 1/2% would equate to? Or what percentage of the 14 1/2% were actually selective fire?

I wonder how many guns are smuggled into the United States FROM Mexico for sale to US gangs like MS13, Bloods, Crips, etc? (Matt Lauer a journalist? Ha!)

I'd like to ask Napolitano why she left out left-wing extremist groups like ELF, La Raza, Mecha?
She only mentions right-wing conservatives in her target of potential terrorists.
I think this current administration is very afraid of conservatives.
I also believe they are VERY afraid of gun-owners.
Sometimes on a clear day, I can see into the future with this spotting scope.
