The Secret Service has jurisdiction for anything concerning defacement of currency bills. Are you a Secret Service agent who has dealt with someone whose bill was refused or who was arrested for writing on money? What's local jurisdiction got to do with it?

There is a website which tracks paper currency. I discovered it when I received a $1 bill which was "stamped" with the address of the website on it.

As per their site read rule # 8 FAQ

    The key word is "intent."

I'm sure the USSS has more important things to worry about.

I'm one of the people who have quite a bit of money on the "Where's George" website. I've been doing this for years. I've never gotten into any legal trouble whatsoever!

Is there a way to send a $2 bill in to the Feds as partial payment of taxes or other monies due? Send a check two dollars short and include a $2 bill to show 2nd A support.

Using taxpayer dollars to support a 2A awareness campaign...I LIKE it!

Just write or stamp 2A on any bill and it will work, but I like the two dollar bill Idea.

I suggest that if you can find in your inner self the will to inflict violence on someone who is trying to victimize you, and can back up that iron will with all the force that you can muster, you will most likely be successful.

There are several novelty companies that 'deface' currency but the feds don't seem to care. Ever see Obama on a coin? Elvis on a bill?

If you are equating the $2 with 2A, and most of us haven't seen a $2 in circulation in goodness knows how long.....

Why not write on the back of the $1 (aka 1A) the 2nd ammendment protects your 1st ammendment.

Lots more exposure on a $1

The novelty is the hook. Who stops to really look at a $1? But everybody will pore over a $2 since they rarely see them.

Just a thought, but that full image (even in reduced size) may not be legal?

Nice try but I don't think my computer screen counts as a counterfeit bill.
