Good reference material. NYS Unconstitutional Pistol Licensing
Something is wrong with the file. Couldn't open it.
Looks to me that they figure that all of the hulabaloo isn't worth the hassle, and people just won't apply. With that being said, I would imagine that people will just take their chances and carry illegally. With the crime rates being what they are in NY, hell, I'd take my chances.
Good points made in the paper. If NYS laws regarding pistol licensing are unconstitutional (I agree) then the situation in NYC is downright oppressive.
Unfortunately it's going to take some major changes in the NYS legislature (not likely) to change the situation or a major effort on the part of firearms owners, a time consuming and costly effort, to force change through the courts.
you'd be surprised how many otherwise law abiding citizens in NY, especially NYC, break the law everday. my dad was one of them; he owned a Gov't 1911, the one he got in the service, and would carry it, depending on where he was going.
eventually, we all left NYC, and moved to PA, where they actually respect the 2A. the first thing my parents did after buying a house was get their driver ID; the second was getting their LTCF. the third was going to the first gun shop they drove past, and buying a Colt Officer's Model, a Colt Detective, and a replica Colt Peacekeeper. my dad likes Colts.
What a crock of 'toro feces'...pay a non-refundable fee of $170 with no guarantee of a license...and most don't get one.
This borders on a 'crime'.![]()

"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

How do I apply for a handgun license?
Applicants must personally appear and submit a signed and notarized application to the License Division when applying. Fees may be paid by credit card or with two money orders. The application fee is $340.00. The fingerprint fee is $94.25 for Livescan prints. The fee for inked prints is $105.25. If you are paying with money orders, the money orders should be made payable to the “New York City Police Department.”

$100 for prints in NY City? They're out of their minds. It's usually about $25 in upstate. Thanks for the link, I'm going to pass it on to some other people who would like to read it.
Hence...... Georgia is one of the last stronghold states for keeping the second alive and well. I love having my 40$ no questions asked received my license within 6 days after application must issue state.
MAN THE SOUTH ROCKS!

They have since the beginning of this country attacked our freedom to carry. If I lived in NYC I would move as soon as I became aware of the cesspool of anti constitution politics and legislation.
When is someone big like Hannity or Limbaugh going to put the word out that our gun rights are seriously under attack.
What people do not understand is that if they take our guns then our complete freedom will be gone to. How can a people have a voice if the politicians have nothing to fear?
Wake the "4 letter word" up!
