    It hasn't moved. I think they're too concerned about making Sanford take the fed money that we're better off w/o.

    S593 and H3483

    Both of these pro gun bills have passed the general assembly as of wednesday and are on the Govenors desk waiting for signature. I'm not sure if they have been signed as of yet. H3483 will need approval of the voters in 2010 before it is final.

    Were pretty sure S593 will become law. Gov. Sanford is not going to sign it into law. It will just become law without his signature.

    Looks like the Governor did sign it...

    2009-2010 Bill 593: Weapons - South Carolina Legislature Online

    Says it was signed yesterday...

    Note the vehicle itself must be either attended or locked

    but the console, glove box, trunk, or the container secured by an integral fastener and transported in the luggage compartment of the vehicle need only be "Closed". This is then just like regular non permit transport.

    And in this case the exception is granted only to a person with a Concealed Weapons permit on school premises or property ... (as described)

    What about restaurant carry has that been signed, couldn't find anything that says yes or no.
