Foxnews poll results
Foxnews.com this afternoon.
Not really the "mainstream media" but close.
Gun Control
By 47 percent to 34 percent, more Americans think better enforcement of existing gun laws is more likely to decrease gun violence than passage of more laws and restrictions on obtaining guns.
Those in a household where someone owns a gun are even more in favor better enforcement — 61 percent to 24 percent.
Opinion Dynamics Corp. conducted the national telephone poll of 900 registered voters for FOX News from May 12 to May 13. The poll has a 3-point error margin.

Interesting results....
Those in a household where someone owns a gun are even more in favor better enforcement — 61 percent to 24 percent.
This one kinda bothers me though. Are there really 24% that think more regulations are better?

Extreme liberals who own guns? Or allow someone in their home to own a gun?

I'm surprised it is that low.

The anti agenda favors more regulations and do not really care about enforcement until they get their ultimate goal of a total ban. Then they will care about enforcement.

I do agree that that is when they(antis) will care about enforcement, however, of gun owning people polled, I was surprised that 24% thought better enforcement would do less good than more regulation.(Stiffer, less gun freindly regulation most likely)

Perhaps not liberals, just stupid people. The type that may own an old, rusty revolver, but believe that "people don't need assault weapons" or that registration is no big deal. Or that certain segment of the hunter crowd who own a few bolt-action 30-30s, but are ok with any type of gun legislation as long as it doesn't affect *their* guns... the elitest type.
Unfortunately there are gun owners who are a detriment to the movement as a whole because they don't really understand the 2A.
