A VERY long, but excellent paper/study on gun control.
This was well worth reading and 'bookmarking' for future reference.

EVERYONE should read this policy paper.

    Thanks for posting.

Wow, that's a good read. I do like the Cato guys, they usually seem to have their heads on straight.

Fantastic read, and indisputable in its' presentation... should be emailed to every gun control advocate in America...

    Good stuff, from Cato.

    • There will always be weapons available to criminals.
    • There will always be crime.
    • There will always be criminals who will attempt to take everything one has, including one's life.
    • Disarming of victims prior to crime only ensures that victims have no choice in the matter but to accede to criminals' demands.
    • On the instant of violent crime finding a person, the greatest chance of surviving the attack comes through being able to withstand the attack via defensive weapons, and being willing and capable of employing those weapons.
    • To the extent laws disarm citizens, such laws favor the death of citizens through inability to withstand and survive criminal attack.

IMO, that is the greatest argument against citizen gun control.

+1 I would second this sentiment. I have read this article before and find it a great source of information against the anti's arguements, even though it is 20 years old.

Anytime! I am glad that I was able to pass information. We all have to stick together and fight the anti-2nd Amendment libs. The more information that we have at our disposal the better!
