    here is a small excerpt from his reply to the local Detroit Mi. communist newspapers;

"My support for this challenge to the Chicago gun ban is rooted in Michigan's own Constitution, which states: "Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state."

Welcome, oneshot. From the Illinois State Rifle Association's website:
The Attorneys General from 34 states have indicated their support in two "Friend of the Court" briefs that have been filed that urge the Supreme Court to hear the [Illinois State Rifle Association]'s case, as well as the NRA's case. Besides Texas, the other states indicating their support are: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Note that California indicated their support through their own amicus brief field by AG and Former Governor Jerry Brown.

The United States Supreme Court is expected to decide whether or not to hear the case when the new session starts in autumm.

    Mine does not...

I like the way this guy talks...

...In my own experience of more than 13 years as a homicide prosecutor and head of the homicide unit of the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, I never saw anyone charged with murder who had a license to legally carry a concealed weapon...

It's been awhile since we had one isn't it, it's good to have one who does get it. We need to elect this one in the next election.

    You in Alabama too?

BTW - I'd be interested in seeing what the IL constitution says about the RKBA.

    EDIT....found it!

    SECTION 22. RIGHT TO ARMS
Subject only to the police power, the right of the
individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be
    infringed.
    (Source: Illinois Constitution.)

Why doesn't the IL AG fight the Chicago ban?

Henry McMasters in South Carolina gets it....
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
