might be easier to report who voted Nay.

I get a reportcard weekly on how my Federal representatives vote on bills. But because that was an ammendment, and not a bill, I wouldn't see their vote.

I have no information on Missouri, or Texas. I was primarily watching Kansas and Colorado.

Why am I not surprised to see Franken and Klobuchar of MN vote Nay?

If I lived in MN I would have to move because of Franken being my Senator.

Look on the bright side, we were never as close to this as we have been this time, shy by just 2 votes. I guarantee you after the midterm elections, this will come back, and we'll win next time....

I won't count my chickens yet. I saw this every year when I lived in WI and they tried passing CCW law. Senators know how eachother are going to vote and what the vote tally will be before the official vote ever happens. Those who are the most in jepordy of re election and need to win over certian constituants vote for something they normally would vote against - knowing full well the measure won't pass.

But, as someone said earlier, they can tell their constituants they voted for something, and are "sooo sorry it didn't pass."
