YouTube - Obama's Gun Control: From The Obama Deception
"When the people fear the government you have tyranny...when the government fears the people you have liberty."
--Thomas Jefferson --
Well, that's a little unnerving. Of course we all knew Obama's stance on gun control before the election. And yet, many a good gun owners voted him in office.
Slick Willie's got nothing on Barack. It's very interesting to watch how he elevates himself above it all while he sends his minions in to quietly do the dirty work.
Keeps himself clean and denies his involvement so the ones who voted for him keep saying with incredible disbelief, "Why Obama would never do that... he said so on TV."
"The gun is the great equalizer... For it is the gun, that allows the meek to repel the monsters; Whom are bigger, stronger and without conscience, prey on those who without one, would surely perish."
Good video, I had not seen this one before...share with others and then remember to VOTE!

Well.... I have been thinking about this. We have a mid term election coming up, and I personally believe we won't see any type of gun legislation coming unit AFTER that election. The Dems will want to lock up 60 seats in the senate before they make a hard push. If they don't get the 60 seats, you may not see a big push on anti-gun legislation. I would be a suicide for a second term.
And in a way.....everyone here should be thankful for Obama...... he has done more for the gun rights movement than any president in history!! Obama has gotten more people signed up for NRA than Wayne LaPierre!!

Ever wonder why massacres never happen at a gun range??

Good point. He has indeed rallied Red Blooded Americans to stand their ground.
No matter who is in office, we should never let our guard down. What concerns me are the huge bills that are being pushed through committee. No one has time to read them. There is nothing transparent with this administration. They won't allow the bill to be published for public perusal. And they push a vote as quickly as possible.Eric Holder ~ “As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons.”
“The second amendment does not protect firearms possession or use that is unrelated to participation in a well-regulated militia.”
“To further strengthen the ability of law enforcement officials to track those suspected of terrorism or other criminal acts in this country, Congress should also pass legislation that would give the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms a record of every firearm sale.”
Holder’s boss, the president, is equally unfriendly to gun owners. Writing for Gun Digest last October, gun lobbyist Richard A. Pearson called Obama an enemy of the law abiding firearm owner. You can read his article here.
Some of Obama’s own quotes, as they have appeared in various publications, will back this up:
“I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.”
“I am not in favor of concealed weapons. I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations.”
“The package (legislation passed in the Illinois Senate) closes the Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card loopholes which resulted in the shooting out in Melrose Park. We’re eliminating 17 specific assault weapons. There is no reason why anybody should need an assault weapon to protect themselves or their family. We’re limiting handgun sales to one a month. We’re calling for handgun registration. It’s very hard right now to track whether or not a felon has turned in his weapons or if he has a FOID card because we don’t know how many weapons he has purchased.”
One of these days they will sneak some anti-gun verbage into a 1,500 page bill that no one will have time to read.
The problem with video like this,if you READ ALL of the bill, most of what is posted seems to differ from what is actually in the bill. The internet fear mongers are notorious for posting pieces of this and that, and then we have,,,, truth? I have voted Republican and Democrat in my life. I do not recall many politicians that were really 'for' the people.
I look for the truth, not someone's opinion of the truth. Gun laws are not always bad. There are plenty of non-criminal types that need to be far away from a gun. Look at the recent post on DC where the idiot threatened to shoot his iPhone.
Well, I think it is safe to say that we need to keep our eye on ALL politicians....federal, state and local.
I don't know about gun rights but from having worked at a gun shop at the time of the election......He did more for GUN SALES than any person who has ever lived!!!!everyone here should be thankful for Obama...... he has done more for the gun rights movement than any president in history!! Obama has gotten more people signed up for NRA than Wayne LaPierre!!
those bills that his people are trying to pass will very well take away are rights esp the one that is the no fly list. Obama has said that people who do what i do for a living are deemed a national security threat when we return home. All i am is a simple mechanic in the middle east. who is to say what will happen but this is really start to look like pre wwII germany with what he is trying to do.

the way to be safe is never to be secure.
We need to be very, very careful with respect to giving the government the o.k. to deny individual/fundamental rights because the tendency of government is to stretch that power to extremes. Freedom carries with it a level of risk. Forfeiting freedom for security is a dangerous game. Denying rights based on what a person might do can seem prudent on the surface but is a path to government oppression.
