He considers himself and many of the other "powers that be" far superior beings to the "common masses". He wants to make sure that no "common" or "simple" people - or worse, groups of common people! - have the means for self-defense and the empowerment that goes with it.

He hasn't lost his common sense. He just has unusually high "skills" in the powers of evil and arrogance.
I would add, in my humblest, non professional opinion, EGOMANIACAL, and a typical elitist snob.

If he applied for a liscence it would be denied, besides, why the **** does he need a handgun lisence to own a flintlock? New Yorkers...........!

He left the reciept at Staples and someone called the police. Seem like New Yorkers and Nazis have something in common. I have read that's how it was in the 3rd Reich. Neighbor turning in neighbor.

I wish we could get everyone to move from Kalifornia to the northeast and then split the union, leaving NY, NJ, RI, IL,MA and a few others on their own, and the rest of us wouldn't have to put up with their idiocracy.

Get a handgun license for an antique rifle??? New York must get their politicians from the local asylum, Bloomberg included. How could anyone be so stupid?

    No problem.

FYI, when you post a sarcastic message, it's customary to say so up front.

Every time I start to miss where I grew up on the shores of Long Island, I read something like this and remember why I moved to VA.

Well, based on the posted statute, I’m shocked the city is actually pursuing this matter. Unless there is a Larry-Loophole in this case, it would appear the citizen would win in court. In this case, I hope he sues for a very large sum.

BTW: From this point forward, we should all think twice before shopping at Staples.

How much money have the NYC Police wasted looking in to this guy who apparently is well within his state restricted rights to own this firearm?

They don't care how much they spend or even lose if it goes to court.

Why should they? It's all taxpayer money. Included in the taxpayers is the poor guy they are persecuting and they will raise his taxes as well...
