PBS Fires Another Missile at Gun Owners

On NPR today, John Burnett did a rehash of the story blaming US gun laws for arming the drug cartels in Mexico, and resurrecting the claim that "90 percent" of the guns traced in Mexico came back to the United States. And then he used the line, "Guns don't kill people, bullets do," to open a thrust against ammo sales. They just won't give up, so we need to remain vigilant.

Same old NPR, at least they're consistent.

What else would you expect from a news organization who consistently is sympathetic to restoring civil rights to "ex-felons," whatever they are. ("Ex-felon" is right up there with "ex-mother" and "ex-Marine" in my book.)

Remind them at pledge break time, and that's about 12 times a year, why you aren't supporting public television.

    JohnD13: Good idea!

Pledge break! Great idea. When they call, I'll just say, "Hey, I'm the NRA, and I vote...besides, you already get enough of my tax dollars as it is."

Just a technical note: I'm pretty certain that NPR is separate from PBS, although both are funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. They both seem to be staffed by people who think alike, however.

They obviously haven't convinced anyone, given the gun sales over the last year.

Didn't the FBI recently dismiss that obama lie by stating the number was closer to 17-percent?

Funded by taxpayers since the programming couldn't survive reality, like many gov't programs, a haven for the otherwise unemployable.

    Regards,
Dunno if it was the FBI, but the correction is floating around. The "90%" figure makes for good water cooler scandal, the "17%" correction is not.

Guess which one gets the better circulation?

(Clue: The other gets people branded as some kind of "gun nut".)

I have to wonder how many of those in the 17% were actually seized from average citizens who could not pay the bribes needed to keep the guns?

I love NPR, if I want to know what the wacky liberals have on there minds, ( as if I don't already know) I just tune in NPR.
