    Senate approved him today. http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20...a9b2vbinyws0_1 Now we get to find out if the guy behind the curtain (NOOOOO, don't look behind the curtain!) manipulating the REGULATIONS that make the LAWS work can regulate hunting out of existence, can regulate ammo out of supply, can regulate public lands to the point that steak is tooooo expensive to eat, can send new regulations over to BATF to cut down the number of gun shows and shops, can regulate..........everything and everybody...........

    I'm not saying he can't do it NOR am I saying that he can do it. Just now we will see. Scarey, the guy behind the curtain pulling the levers of regulation.....

    I read "Nudge"...this guy definitely knows how to push people into making "correct" decisions.

    Folks, look up this agency's Wiki and its own web page. It is largely advisory, this guy is not going to be able to impose his will upon the country. The president sets a policy and they are in charge of seeing that is followed. This is from the government web page:

    * The implementation of government-wide policies and standards with respect to Federal regulations and guidance documents;
    * The quality, utility, and analytic rigor of information used to support public policy;
    * Dissemination of and access to government information;
    * Privacy and confidentiality;
    * Electronic records; and
    * Federal statistics.

    Is he goofy? Yes. However, he's also unquestionably qualified while still being a buddy of Obama's, so there's no doubt some cronyism too. Also, don't scream socialist, because this guy's politics are far more complex and in many respects, far from socialism. As was already mentioned, the Wall Street Journal endorsed him, and they aren't known to be big fans of Marxists.

    Stay vigilant, as always, but Cass Sunstein isn't taking our guns.

    This appointment scares me a lil' bit because of the nature of the beast.

    Obama's friends are Clinton's friends and who knows what kind of whacko will pick Obama's friends next?

    And this is different than His WHACKED viewpoints how? Hmm, let's see. We'll take a bunch of steaks and put them in a room full of hungry jackals and then we have the lead jackal say, yes, we are going to eat them and then we have the other jackals enforcing that decision?
    Oh, did you know that you are the steak?

    Frog in water my friend and the temperature just keeps rising. The sublimity of this administration is what is the scary part. Little nips here, little nips there, pretty soon you have eaten an elephant and he didn't even know it

    The cost of freedom: CONSTANT vigilance!!!!!

    This is just another ant in the cupboard. Get rid of it or you'll have the whole colony there! And no, this isn't a personal threat, in case anyone is watching, it is merely to demonstrate a point. I don't advocate violence.

    And no offense, but it's the Wall Street boys that have been given BILLIONS, in case that has become occluded.

    Not suggesting this necessarily

    But the tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

    This guy is nuts! It's a shame I had to hear about his confirmation on 9/11.

    The point about the Wall Street Journal citation, which was clear and you seemed to ignore, is that they are not part of the dreaded "liberal" media. Editorially speaking, they are very conservative, and they thought Sunstein was a great appointment for this position. In other words, he's not a freaking socialist.

    And I'll say it again, even though it will just get ignored again, neither Sunstein nor his agency will be in any position to take our guns. This is all moot because Obama isn't going to walk within a light year of gun control legislation before the next presidential election. But by all means, continue the panic. It does wonders for the image of gun owners.

    If he tries anything anti-gun...it would only help us in the 2010 elections.OMO
