Suarez International South Carolina courses in 2012
South Carolina Long Gun Long Weekend II - February 3–5
In November, we held our first South Carolina Long Gun Long Weekend, with three days of rifle and shotgun training. It went so well we’re doing it again. We’ll be offering Dynamics of the Shotgun on Friday, February 3rd, followed by Combat Rifle Marksmanship and Advanced Combat Rifle Marksmanship on Saturday and Sunday (February 4–5). Sign up for all three classes and get $100 off.
Combat Pistol Marksmanship - February 11
Shooting is easy, all it requires is doing certain things in a certain order. Combat Pistol Marksmanship will demystify the process of firing an accurate, sighted shot, as well as laying the foundations of safe, simple gun handling necessary for more advanced instruction in a succinct one-day format. This class is a great way to get started with self-defense training.
Close Range Gunfighting - March 17–18
Which is more important to you in a gunfight: shooting the bad guy, or not getting shot yourself? Learn how to win the fight without getting shot in our Close Range Gunfighting class. We’ll cover the fundamentals of getting off the X, essential point shooting, and how to take advantage of your adversary’s OODA loop. We take you through a gunfight from beginning to end, from the bad guy’s victim selection process to dealing with the police after the fight. This is the class that all of our other intermediate and advanced pistol classes build on. Taking CRG will meet the prerequisite for the 0–5 Feet class in April, as well as qualifying you to attend our alumni events.
There is no prerequisite for CRG, but it is not for the novice shooter. You don’t need to be a crack shot, but safe, solid gun handling skills are essential. If in doubt, ask.
Zero to Five Feet Gunfighting with Randy Harris - April 14–15
When a mugger threatens you over the contents of your wallet, he’s not going to do it at seven yards. It’s going to be up close and personal. In Zero to Five Feet Gunfighting, we’ll teach you to deal with gun and knife armed adversaries within arms reach, where your hands are often a better choice to meet the initial assault than your gun. We cover disarms, jamming his gun in the holster, and fending off knife attacks. When it is time to get your gun out, it probably won’t look anything like a traditional shooting stance. It will be contact shooting, or even shooting from the ground. With both force on force and live fire we’ll teach you what you need to know to prevail at bad breath distance.
To attend this class you must have previously taken a Suarez International intermediate pistol class (Close Range Gunfighting, Extreme Close Range Gunfighting, Force on Force, Point Shooting Progressions, etc.).

Anyone who has a CCW should avail themselves of the 0-5Ft Gunfighting class if possible.
It's the most eye-opening and thought-provoking class I've ever taken.

Well, the Long Gun Long Weekend and Combat Pistol Marksmanship went fantastically well. Close Range Gunfighting and 0-5 are still coming up. These are both great classes (particularly 0-5) and there are still slots available in both.
