I bought a few boxes of ammo (Federal HST 9mm) to run through my Shield to see how they perform and they came in today. The box of 124gr ammo has what I'd consider normal markings, but the box of 147gr has a black mark, almost as if something was omitted. Any thoughts as to what would be there?
I don't see any recalls so I'm not concerned that it's obscuring a bad lot number, but I am curious.
Oh well, thanks all for the input. I'm going to chalk it up to a broken stamp on the printer or something like that. Ill run a few mags through this weekend and if they all go bang, I won't give it another thought.
I had thought this was more common than not and figured i'd get a faster response here. I have reached out to Federal and I'll update when I hear.
