I've been using Mobil 1 for lube on my G30. The guy I bought it from is a firearms instructor and certified armorer for his LE department and he recommended it. I've also seen it recommended elsewhere.
I've had no trouble with it and I don't expect to, either. I can't imagine that a firearm is going to get hotter than an engine, and it will certainly get cleaned more often.
