Hello from Western North Carolina

Origionally from Cleveland from Cleveland Ohio we retired here for the climate and the fact that it is stuck in the 1950's. Lately though it is creeping closer and closer to the present. Still a great place to live. I have no recent experience with firearms and their use, my last real involvement was forty years ago in the Marine Corps. This Forum and you folks with training and experience seemed like a good place to get off on the right foot. It seems as I get older I feel more of a need to be protected.
