For a Commander sized 1911, I want a stable platform from which to draw. Look for something with 2 clips or attachments, one on each side of the gun so the weight is distributed evenly. I use a K&D Dakota Defender, Milt Sparks VM2, MTAC and HBE COM3. All 4 are excellent choices and will serve you well.
