Crossbreed QwikClip

Wanted to let you know my experience with Crossbreed Holsters.

My carry gun is a Bersa Thunder 380.

I have a holster from a different maker that is similar to the Supertuck. I really like it except that depending on the pants I am wearing, the clips don't span the belt loops properly and I have to adjust where I wear the holster, either forward or back. A small adjustment in any direction on an IWB holster can make a big difference. I tried moving it but found it to be uncomfortable sometimes. So I decided on a QwikClip holster from Crossbreed. It only has one clip to attach to the belt.

I ordered it via their website on May 17
the website said that their backlog was 3-4 weeks
I received it May 30 (received it in 2 weeks) Excellent

The retention was so tight that it literally took two hands to get it out of the holster. I was not really comfortable adjusting the retention myself so I e-mailed them. They said to send it back and they would adjust (covered in their warranty). I mailed it back June 3 with a note clearly explaining the issue and the gun it was for. I received it back on June 15. Great, but the retention was not adjusted. Still supertight.

That night I explained it all to my very understanding wife. She said that she would help me adjust it. We followed the directions that came with the holster regarding adusting the retention (heat, use care, re-mold-directions are much more specific). We did it and now the retention is very good. Not too tight, not too loose.

This is now my main holster. I still have an occasional issue depending on where that one belt loop is on the pants I am wearing but then I just switch back to the 2 clips model for that particular pair of pants.

Cost is a little high at $65.80 including shipping (after a 10% discount-code found on-line). But it does have a lifetime warranty.

Overall, I am satisfied with the holster. If it wasn't for the original retention issue, this would have been an excellent experience.

I am trying to help everyone out. Great holster but if the retention is not right you (anyone) can make the adjustments yourself relatively easily.
