Just applied for Concealed Carry in Ohio.
Hello all, I'm brand new to the forum so I hope I'm posting properly . . .
Anyway I'm a police officer who's been retired just about 10 years during which I owned two pistols but did not carry, although I did enjoy going shooting on occasion. Well, back in April I got the bug, purchased a new Sig 239 in .40 cal and decided to apply for an Ohio Concealed Carry Permit. Overall, it has been a relatively pleasurable experience, although the waiting intervauls between training requirements, actual submission of information/interview and actual reciept of the permit is a bit tedious. Right now I'm about in the middle of the three to four week background check period before actualy receiving my permit. If anyone has any questions or concerns about carrying concealed in Ohio, I'll try to help as much as I can. I'm looking forward to some good discussion on consealed carry and I'm glad to be aboard.
