The Germans made a MP 44 with a curved barrel during WWII, it was used in a tank destroyer, I can't remember which model, because they had designed tank destroyer without a MG, so there was no protection from allied troops who got too close and used grenades. Got it from The History Channel can't remember the title, but it was about machine guns
