I really don't mind these checks. If you keep you Lic, tags & insurance up to date you have nothing to worry about.
We used have to have 'em fairly often in SC and they would nab a lot of illegals that way. But the Feds wouldn't ever pick them up so they just about quit. I haven't seen one now for a couple of years.
