Statistics
It would be interesting to see some good statistics on this GLOCK Kaboom issue, but its the kind if thing that's hard to measure. But if I just look at the facts, it goes kind of like this.
1) Seems that Glocks KB more often than other types - but it is still a very infrequent occurance.
2) Seems that the Glock 40 and 45 are more susceptible than the 9mm.
3) Glocks have less support on the rear of the casing - that's one of the reasons they feed so reliably.
4) The 9mm round has thicker metal in the rear casing - its tapered.
5) Ammo is not perfect.
It is easy to come to some conclusions with that info. I kind of like 9mm anyway, so if I get a Glock it will likely be a 19. But if I liked the .40 or .45, this would not bother me too much - just a little.
