It appears from the picture of the round it has nothing to do with the gun, but with faulty ammo. A ruptured casing an any make of gun can be trouble. Doesn't matter if it is a Glock, Ruger, SIG or CZ.
I had a case rupture in a Ruger GP-100, while there was no injury to me or major damage to the gun, it did cause minor cosmetic damage to the cylinder.
