Some police gun leather places have mag pouches that can go on horizontally. To my knowledge, they have flaps. And they're black, usually, and frigging HUGE, so not real discreet for daily carry.

You know, a 1911 magazine is nice and flat, and fits in a pocket. Unlike your Tupperware...
