Har har, but I can carry double what your 1911 mag carries in my "tupperware."

I don't think I'll use this mag carrier for EDC, mostly at the range and during competitions. I also hope to never be in a gun fight, let alone one in which I have a need for more than 16 rounds. (insert 9mm vs. .45acp comment here)

Darth muffin pointed out a safariland carrier that would be a nice option for EDC.
