Can it happen of course it can, and Obama could become a great president, an advocate of the second amendment
Apparently, they have changed the definition of the words "myth" and "lie" while I slept last night.

I posted an article with 2 such occasions of open carriers in GUN SHOPS being targeted and disarmed. Hardly the stuff of mythology. Someone else posted an account of someone being disarmed and having their own gun pointed at them. A lie?

It can happen. It has happened. And if open carry every becomes as widespread as its advocates wish for, it will happen again. There are a large percentage of criminals that aren't particulalry impressed by an openly carried piece. To think that criminals, many who are under the influence of mind-altering substances or just plain mentally ill, make reasoned and rational decisions regarding their self-preservation....well, that just defies logic.

What the Brady bunch has to do with any of this is beyond me, but thanks for bringing them up. I never said that open carry should be banned, illegal, etc. I just pointed out that thinking that you are safe from a gun grab because such a thing is a "myth" or a "lie" is ludicrous. It can happen. In fact....I'd wager that it's a lot more likely to happen than obama ever becoming something even remotely resembling a good president.

I'll defend your right to open carry, but that doesn't mean that I'll go along with you in pretending that open carry is the perfect option because bad things "can't happen." An openly carried gun is not the magic talisman that some seem to think it is. People who are considering carry methods deserve to hear all sides.
