OK, what about this combo - lets scrap the bolt action rifle, go with a scoped 18" M1A, in either collapsible or socom versions for precision work in the 300-500yds, and an Ak for close-in reliability in the 0-300yds?
Now, for small game, the little USAF survival rifle to stuff in your rucksack, with a few 100 round boxes of .22ammo?
