I kind of think that all hunting shotties should have wooden stocks. (In other words, bird hunting with anything that is specialized for HD would look kind of odd. Just MHO) Plus, why go through all the hassle of storing/swapping barrels? Sounds like a drag to me.
Cool 870 BTW, I prefer the stndard stock vs. the pistol grip, but the OD looks sweet.

I'm thinking along those lines now that I've got this gun pretty much perfect for HD. I'm just going to leave it in HD mode full time. Putting more thought into it, and with my luck, I'd have it outfitted for hunting and need it for HD.

I'm loving the stock when practicing moving around the home. Had a buddy over last night that does entries for a living and he raved about using them in his work.
I agree about the hunting shotgun, I'd love to have pretty wood laden 870 wingmaster or maybe a pretty Browning semi (my bro-in-law has a nice one) for doves.
